Uprising Camping Information
We’re excited to welcome you to Uprising!
To ensure everyone has a comfortable and enjoyable experience, we offer several camping options based on your affiliations or interests. You may choose to camp with:
Your Kingdom, Barony, or Shire
Your Household
Your Function (e.g., Equestrian, Archery, etc.)
Undetermined Groups (for those without a specific affiliation)
Campsite Organization
The site is divided into well-planned campsites, each managed by a dedicated Camp Coordinator.
Your Camp Coordinator serves as your main point of contact before and during the event. Your Camp Coordinator will:
Manage campsite space to ensure everyone has room.
Address any special considerations or questions.
Liaise with event stewards as needed.
With their support, we’ll maintain a safe, beautiful, and harmonious event. If you have questions or need assistance, your Camp Coordinator is your go-to resource.
Registering with a Group?
If you're camping with a specific group but don’t see it listed during registration, please contact your Camp Coordinator. We’ll work with them to make sure your group is officially registered.
Important Note for Camp Coordinators:
This registration is only for Camp Coordinators and does not serve as a general camping reservation.
Camp Coordinators must be appointed by an official SCA branch (Kingdom, Barony, Shire) or by a recognized Household.
We look forward to seeing you at Uprising!
Knowing what to expect when camping at Uprising will help you and your campmates stay safe, comfortable, and happy. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned attendee, here are some useful tips to make your experience even better:
Upon Arrival
Check in at the Gate to get your site token.
A site map will be posted in the Gate tent. Our friendly volunteers can help direct you to your camp.
Temperature and Weather
The weather in Eastern Idaho gets quite warm during the day and nights can get quite cool.
Daytime temps can reach the upper 90s
Nighttime temps can drop to the mid-50s
Sunscreen is a must, as the sun can be strong, and hydration is essential—don’t underestimate how quickly you can become dehydrated in the heat.
While rain is rare, those occasional afternoon thunderstorms can catch you off guard.
Make sure to bring extra blankets and socks for those cooler nights
Consider a tarp for under your tent to keep things dry.
If you opt for an air mattress, remember to cover it with a blanket to trap warmth, as the air inside cools down quickly.
Lost Items
Consider marking your mugs with your name, or a marker to easily identify it as yours.
If you lose something, check in at gate for the lost & found collection.
Cooking
An easy way to prepare food is to bring it pre-made in Ziploc bags or vacuum-sealed bags, and throw them in boiling water.
Packages of aluminum foil on a fire is also a great way to cook fast and easy meals, but be mindful of open fire restrictions.
Fires
As of now, we don't have any fire restrictions, but we do ask that you bring a propane powered fire pit for safety.
Fires are allowed in above-ground fire pits only.
Ashes and partially burnt wood must be properly disposed of.
Disposing of these things on the ground is prohibited.
Any and all fires must be attended to at all times and must stay at a controllable size.
You must ensure that your fire is completely extinguished when you are not tending it.
A working fire extinguisher must be present within 10 feet of a fire at all times while it is burning.
The allowance of fires is subject to the current county regulation.
If fires have been prohibited by county declaration, the event shall adhere to the current declaration.
Potable Water
BRING PORTABLE WATER CONTAINERS.
There will be potable water available for all. Our site has water spigots located around and the water is safe for both you and your pets!
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are observed between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
Be kind and considerate—some folks actually sleep
